Deciduous
Deciduous, I reach within
only to find the leaf that never fell.
Autumn's here, I will descend
only to find a slope of decadence.
I dive into my own downfall,
resilient but cracked inside.
Sunlight dims again, back to the twilight.
Silhouettes are all drained into the night.
I will fade, I won't be seen among this sea of trees.
Fall has taken all of me, I'm only left to dream.
Morning will be shy,
I foresee an ashen sky.
Skyline turns into a scarlet sight,
now I'm only left to sigh.
Fall has taken all of me,
for I am just a tree.
Will I ever be green again?
